Maths Lecturer

The Role As a Maths Lecturer, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective teaching to students on GCSE and Functional Skills Maths courses. You will play a key role in helping learners achieve their academic goals and progress in their studies and careers. Key Responsibilities: * Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in GCSE and/or Functional Skills Maths * Assess student work, provide feedback, and support academic progress * Support a diverse range of learners and tailor teaching methods accordingly * Contribute to curriculum development and continuous course improvement * Maintain accurate records of student attendance and achievement Requirements: * Recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, CertEd, or equivalent) * Degree in Mathematics or a related subject * Experience teaching Maths in a Further Education or post-16 setting * Strong classroom management and communication skills * A valid enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) Desirable: * Experience with online or blended learning platforms * Ability to adapt teaching to meet the needs of students with additional learning needs Why Join Us? * Competitive hourly rates * Support from a dedicated consultant at our agency * Opportunities for professional development * Chance to make a real impact on learners’ futures 📩 Interested?
