We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated EYFS Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Croydon from September 2026. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching within the Early Years Foundation Stage, creating an engaging and nurturing learning environment that enables every child to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

The school is looking to identify the right candidate quickly and is able to offer interviews and observation lessons as early as next week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and differentiated EYFS lessons.
  • Create a positive and stimulating learning environment that supports children's development.
  • Monitor, assess, and track pupil progress in line with the EYFS Framework.
  • Foster strong relationships with pupils, parents, carers, and colleagues.
  • Promote excellent behaviour and high expectations within the classroom.
  • Support the wellbeing, safeguarding, and development of all pupils.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and other staff members to ensure the best outcomes for children.
  • Contribute positively to the wider school community.
Essential Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Previous experience teaching within EYFS, ideally in a Reception class.
  • Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework.
  • Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Ability to create a nurturing, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.
Desirable Skills and Experience
  • Experience teaching Reception.
  • Strong knowledge of phonics and early literacy development.
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEND.
  • A creative and innovative approach to teaching and learning.
