SEND Teacher Newham Location: Newham, East London Salary: Paid to scale Contract: Full-time Start Date: Immediate / September start Hours: Full-time, MondayFriday We are looking for a dedicated and experienced SEN Teacher to join a specialist school in Newham , supporting children and young people with a range of additional needs. The successful candidate will be confident working with pupils with ASD, PMLD, ADHD, GLD and MLD , and passionate about creating an inclusive, engaging and supportive learning environment. The Role As an SEN Teacher, you will: Support pupils with ASD, PMLD, ADHD, GLD and MLD . Use a range of teaching approaches to support communication, independence and learning. Work closely with Teaching Assistants, therapists, parents/carers and other professionals. Monitor and assess pupil progress and adapt teaching accordingly. Support pupils' social, emotional and personal development alongside their academic learning. Follow safeguarding and school policies at all times. The Ideal Candidate We are looking for an SEN Teacher who is: Qualified Teacher Status ( QTS ) or equivalent. Experienced working within a SEN/SEND setting . Competent and confident supporting children with ASD, PMLD, ADHD, GLD and MLD . Able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
