English Teacher – The School
·We are recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic English Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Croydon, South London.
·The school is committed to delivering high standards of teaching and learning, supporting students to achieve their full academic potential.
·This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate English Teacher to teach across Key Stages 4 and 5 within a supportive school environment.
English Teacher – The Role
·Teach English across Key Stages 4 and 5, including GCSE and A-Level.
·Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the relevant curriculum and exam specifications.
·Cover key areas of the English curriculum, including reading, writing, spoken language, and the study of prose, poetry, drama and Shakespeare.
·Prepare students for examinations and support them in achieving their academic targets.
·Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to improve attainment.
·Use a range of texts and real-world contexts to develop students' comprehension, analysis and written communication skills.
·Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of students across a range of abilities.
·Maintain effective classroom management and promote positive behaviour.
·Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum delivery and student achievement.
·Create an inclusive and engaging learning environment that encourages critical thinking and independent learning.
English Teacher – Requirements
·Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
·Experience teaching English across Key Stages 4 and 5.
·Strong subject knowledge, including GCSE and A-Level English.
·Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
·The ability to plan engaging lessons and adapt teaching to different learning needs.
·A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
·An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service. xiskglj
