Key responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day delivery across assigned client accounts, with appropriate guidance from an Account Manager/Director.
- Create engaging content across formats (press releases, bylines, blog posts, social copy, briefing documents, bios, etc.), ensuring quality control and consistency of tone.
- Develop pitches and story angles; conduct media outreach and secure coverage across relevant titles and channels.
- Build and maintain relationships with journalists and other relevant stakeholders (e.g., influencers/analysts, where appropriate).
- Track and document activity using agreed tools and processes (e.g., project trackers, media databases).
- Support campaign planning and execution (timelines, task management, stakeholder coordination).
- Monitor news and industry trends; surface reactive opportunities and support rapid-response outreach.
- Analyse coverage and contribute to client reporting with insight, not just outputs.
- Communicate clearly with clients and internal teams, keeping stakeholders informed and work moving.
What you’ll bring:
- At least two years demonstrable PR experience (ideally agency-side) managing multiple workstreams and deadlines.
- Strong writing and editing skills, with an ability to translate complex or data-led information into compelling narratives.
- Confidence engaging with clients, journalists, and internal stakeholders.
- A proactive approach—comfortable taking ownership, proposing solutions, and trying new tasks without waiting for direction.
- Strong organisation and time management; consistent follow-through and accountability.
- Familiarity with media and monitoring tools (e.g., Muck Rack, Cision, Meltwater) and project-management platforms (e.g., Trello or similar) is beneficial.
- Interest and/or experience in B2B and B2C communications.
What success looks like:
- High-quality copy delivered on time, with minimal rework.
- Consistent pipeline of proactive pitches and media engagement.
- Reliable account delivery (tasks tracked, stakeholders aligned, activity documented).
- Client-ready reporting that demonstrates progress, insight, and next-step recommendations.
