About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate, motivated, and resilient One-to-One Learning Mentor to provide tailored educational and emotional support to children and young people across Kent. This rewarding role involves working individually with pupils who may be unable to access mainstream education due to additional needs, social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) challenges, anxiety, behavioural needs, or other barriers to learning. As a Learning Mentor, you will build positive relationships, inspire confidence, and help learners achieve both academically and personally through personalised support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging one-to-one learning sessions tailored to individual needs.
  • Build trusting, positive relationships with pupils and their families.
  • Support learners to improve confidence, motivation, attendance, and engagement.
  • Adapt learning activities to meet a range of abilities and learning styles.
  • Promote emotional wellbeing and positive behaviour strategies.
  • Monitor progress and maintain accurate records of learning and development.
  • Liaise with schools, parents/carers, and other professionals to ensure consistent support.
