About the Role

As a Paraplanner, you will work closely with advisers to provide technical and analytical support across a range of financial planning areas, including pensions, investments, estate planning, and protection. This role would suit someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, takes pride in producing accurate and compliant work, and enjoys contributing to positive client outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct financial research and analysis to support client recommendations
  • Prepare suitability reports and technical documentation
  • Assist advisers with pensions, investments, protection, and retirement planning cases
  • Ensure all work meets FCA compliance standards and internal procedures
  • Liaise with providers and platforms including Transact, Aberdeen, Quilter, and others
  • Manage multiple client cases efficiently and accurately
  • Support the delivery of an exceptional client experience throughout the advice journey

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Paraplanner within an IFA practice
  • Strong technical knowledge of pensions, investments, estate planning, and protection
  • Experience supporting advisers through retirement and financial planning cases
  • Excellent understanding of FCA regulations and compliance standards
  • Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning
  • Strong report-writing and analytical skills
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Familiarity with the following would be advantageous: Fincalc, Adviser Asset, Assureweb, FE Analytics, Transact, Standard life, Aviva.
