Your Remote Tech Recruiter is exclusively engaged with a scaling Tech Consultancy who are looking to recruit Data Modellers into one of their largest client programs in Birmingham. They are a global organisation, operating across the US, UK, Europe and Asia, with a focus on delivering end-to-end digital transformation projects across a range of industries including Retail, Financial Services, Healthcare and Life Sciences (with this role purely focused on the Financial Services space).

In terms of the role, as a Data Modeller you will be tasked with analysing large collections of Financial Services and Banking data, using it to build data models. You will also be working alongside various stakeholders and departments, acting as a conduit between the IT teams and the wider business. The work is complex, the tech is cool, and they are looking for applicants with experience of some (not necessarily all) of the following:

  • Strong hands-on commercial experience in SQL
  • Experience working in the Financial Services space
  • Experience using any of the following Data Modelling tools: Erwin, SAP Power Designer, IBM InfoSphere, MS Visio, Toad etc.
  • Wider experience working with RDBMS including MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL etc.
  • Some experience working in an Agile environment

Moreover, due to this organisation being a Consultancy, strong communication skills (i.e. the ability to talk to stakeholders about complex technical concepts) is key, as your role will be client-facing.

  • Base salary ranging from £50,000 - £80,000 (depending on experience)
