We are seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team, specialising in the installation, maintenance, and repair of Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) systems. This is an exciting opportunity for a technically minded professional who enjoys hands-on work and ensuring workplace safety through effective ventilation solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct planned preventative maintenance, servicing, and thorough examinations of LEV systems in accordance with COSHH regulations and HSG258 guidance.
  • Perform LEV system installations, commissioning, and modifications at client sites across various industries.
  • Diagnose faults and carry out repairs to LEV equipment including fans, filters, ductwork, and control systems.
  • Conduct performance testing using appropriate instrumentation to ensure systems meet required specifications.
  • Complete detailed service reports and certification documentation.
  • Provide technical advice and recommendations to clients regarding system performance and compliance.
  • Respond to emergency callouts and breakdown situations in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure excellent service delivery.

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience in LEV systems or similar ventilation/HVAC engineering.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with hands-on fault-finding skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload effectively.
  • Good communication skills with a professional, customer-focused approach.
  • Comfortable working at heights and in varied industrial environments.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Recognized engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
  • P601 LEV testing qualification or willingness to obtain.
  • Experience with LEV testing equipment and instrumentation.
  • Knowledge of welding, fabrication, or sheet metal work.
  • IPAF or PASMA certification.
