Salary – £26,000 - £28,000
About the company: Working within education, based in York. This is a broad credit role, covering the credit control function, sales ledger invoices, among other ad hoc finance tasks.
Responsibilities include:
- Investigating cases of non-payment and determining an appropriate course of action
- Contacting debtors to resolve any queries and ensure payment is received in a timely manner
- Setting up payment arrangements with customers
- Raising manual invoices as requested
- Reconciling Student loan and Advanced learner loan accounts and resolving all queries
- Reconciling the Monthly Fee reconciliations and ensuring data from systems are accurate
- Maintaining up to date procedures for credit control tasks, upholding payment procedures and policies that ensure timely payment
Skills/Qualifications required:
- Good numeracy and attention to detail
- Ability to organise and prioritise workload effectively
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel (or equivalent), with basic data handling and spreadsheet skills
- Ability to follow processes and maintain accurate records
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
