About the Company
A well‑established and growing firm of solicitors, based in central Nottingham, with a new opportunity for an experienced Legal Cashier to join the firm in a broad role within the client accounting team.
Responsibilities
- Processing client and office account payments, receipts and transfers
- Ensuring full compliance with SRA Accounts Rules at all times
- Daily bank reconciliations and monitoring of client account balances
- Handling invoices, credit notes, billing queries and queries from fee‑earners
- Managing disbursements, supplier payments and internal financial requests
- Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting month‑end procedures
- Assisting with financial reporting, audits, and general finance administration
- Providing excellent internal client service across all departments
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a Legal Cashier role, or finance role within a law firm/solicitors.
- Professional, organised, and have excellent attention to detail.
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Calm and professional, with the ability to work well under pressure.
