A well-established SME business based in Trafford Park, Manchester. You’ll be working in a broad role, supporting management accounting, decision-making and commercial understanding within the business, alongside other finance responsibilities. The person in this role also has the opportunity to grow within the business.

Responsibilities include:

  • Monthly management accounts
  • Assisting with P+L reporting, balance sheets, general ledger
  • Various kinds of analysis, particularly around cost, stock, and margin
  • VAT Returns
  • Leveraging CRM system to support financial and commercial analysis
  • Identifying and actioning areas of business improvement
  • Any other ad hoc tasks

Skills/Qualifications required:

  • Previous experience assisting with or preparing management accounts, either gained within industry or practice
  • Self-starter, keen to progress
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good time-management and organisational skills, with the ability to multi-task
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Previous experience in a similar industry a bonus, but not required
