Our client is looking for an accounts assistant to join their team in Peterborough.

You will be responsible for the administration in the Accounts department.

Ensuring efficient operation of the department by maintaining records and delivering excellent levels of service internally and externally.

Responsibilities

  • Managing the accounts inbox to ensure all incoming enquiries are addressed promptly
  • Setting up supplier and customer accounts accurately to facilitate smooth transactions.
  • Saving and processing supplier invoices with precision to uphold financial integrity.
  • Conducting supplier statement checks and reconciliations to maintain accurate records.
  • Engaging in credit control activities to monitor outstanding payments and ensure timely collections.
  • Preparing and processing expenses to support streamlined financial operations.
  • Performing any other general administrative tasks that contribute to the efficiency of the accounts department.
  • Encouraging and contributing to a continuous improvement culture within the department and the organisation as a whole.
  • All of the above to be performed in line with KPI’s set by your manager

Woking hours for this role are 8.00am – 5.00pm - Monday to Friday. This role is required to be in the office for 5 days per week
