4-Day Week | Fixed Afternoon Shift | Fridays Off
This is a great opportunity for an experienced TIG or MIG Welder to join a well-established Leicestershire-based sheet metal manufacturer with a strong forward order book and genuine long-term stability. The business values quality, consistency and flexibility on the shop floor. Ideally, they’re looking for someone with both MIG and TIG experience, but strong ability in either process will absolutely be considered. Experience welding aluminium would be a strong advantage for this role.
Hours: Fixed Afternoon Shift – 37.5 hours per week
- Monday to Wednesday: 2:00pm – 12:00am
- Friday off every week
Pay: From £16.00 per hour (flexible and negotiable for the right candidate)
Contract Type: This is a temporary position paid weekly by YourRecruiters Limited
What You’ll Be Doing:
- TIG and/or MIG welding of sheet metal components
- Working from engineering drawings and welding to specification
- Producing neat, high-quality welds to a clean finish
- Carrying out visual inspection and minor finishing where required
- Maintaining a safe, organised and production-ready work area
- Supporting the wider fabrication team when needed
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven TIG or MIG welding experience in a fabrication or sheet metal environment
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Confidence to complete a welding test (TIG or MIG)
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Aluminium welding experience – highly desirable
- Experience with both TIG and MIG welding – ideal but not essential
