The predicted salary is between 17 - 17 £ per hour.

Location: Shepshed

Contract Type: Temp to Perm / Permanent from day one

Salary: £15 - £17 per hour (depending on experience)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm (40 hours per week)

We are working with a specialist engineering manufacturer that designs, fabricates and assembles large scale industrial equipment supplied to customers across the globe. Their products support critical infrastructure including hospitals, airports, data centres, power generation facilities and major industrial sites, helping to reduce emissions and control noise in some of the world's most demanding environments. With almost every stage of the manufacturing process completed in house, from CNC profiling, fabrication and welding through to shotblasting, painting, testing, assembly and commissioning, this is an opportunity to become part of a genuinely diverse and highly skilled engineering operation.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Mechanical assembly of industrial equipment and engineered products to specification
  • Working from engineering drawings and technical documentation
  • Using a range of hand and power tools safely and effectively
  • Carrying out quality checks throughout the assembly process
  • Identifying and reporting defects, non‑conformances and safety concerns
  • Working closely with production, quality and engineering teams
  • Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
  • Supporting continuous improvement activities across the workshop

What We're Looking For

  • Previous mechanical assembly experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Basic electrical fitting or wiring experience
  • Confident using hand and power tools
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication skills and a proactive attitude
