Are you an experienced Plate / Bar Saw Operator looking to join a dynamic team? We are seeking a full-time Plate / Bar Saw Operator to work in a factory environment. Experience is essential. If you’re detail-oriented and committed to safety, we want to hear from you. Duties: * Following drawings and work orders to cut materials to size and correct thickness * Checking materials and carrying out quality checks * Inspecting first off, using tape, micrometers and calliper instruments * Stamping and labelling finished goods * Checks to material allocated to be cut, length, width, thickness, spec, alloy, grain direction, lot number before cutting * Performs daily housekeeping including the surrounding work area and metal saw. * Performs stock take duties when required Your Key Responsibilities: * Operate the PLATE / BAR Saw safely and efficiently, adhering to all health and safety standards. * Verify materials and cut plans to ensure precision before cutting. * Perform quality checks on cut pieces using measuring instruments. * Conduct daily maintenance checks on the saw and assist with housekeeping. * Operate fork trucks and jib cranes as required, ensuring productivity sheets are completed daily. What We’re Looking For: * Proven Plate / Bar Saw experience essential * Strong attention to detail and ability to adhere to safety protocols. * Knowledge of cutting specifications and quality control measures. * Ability to lift up to 20kgs and perform manual handling tasks. * Team player with effective communication skills and a commitment to maintaining a clean workspace.
