Job description: Are you a strong sales leader ready to build and lead a high-performing international team in the aerospace sector?
This is a rare opportunity to take full ownership of the APAC sales strategy and drive growth across some of the world’s most dynamic markets.
You'll step into a leadership role with direct influence over people, performance, and profits—while working with some of the most recognised OEMs in aerospace.
This role offers the scope to grow an existing team, secure high-value business, and deliver results at board level - remotely, but with regular international travel.
Key
Responsibilities: This role is crucial in driving the company’s commercial success within APAC, requiring a strategic leader with strong sales acumen, regional expertise, and the ability to inspire and manage teams effectively.
Main duties for this role are as follows
- Take full ownership of the APAC sales strategy, ensuring revenue and margin targets are met across all markets within the region.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the APAC Sales teams, both within company facilities and in the field, fostering a high-performance sales culture.
- Drive business growth by promoting the company and its products to both existing and new customers, utilizing all available sales and marketing channels, including exhibitions, social media, direct outreach, and strategic partnerships.
- Ensure strong customer engagement, proactively managing key accounts while identifying and pursuing new business opportunities across APAC.
- Monitor regional market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to adapt and optimize sales strategies.
- Regularly report on sales performance, pipeline development, and market insights to the Commercial Director.
- Travel extensively across the APAC region to visit customers, prospects, and industry events, ensuring productive and strategic engagements.
Occasional travel to the UK and Europe may also be required for business meetings and training.
- Interview, short list, hire and train sales staff
- Create effective strategies to grow AMS revenue streams
- Review new potential added value opportunities
- Monitor, assess and implement new strategies for team performance
- Analyse and prepare reports, budgets and forecasts
- Manage, develop, coach, control and motivate the sales force to develop their skill to ensure that a high professional standard is achieved and monthly sales target and KPI target are met
- Address customer or employee issues
- Attend various sales meetings, functions, conferences, shows or expos
- Support with forecast planning, both monthly & annually adhering strict deadlines
- Responsible for creating Sales Reports as and when required
- Completion of regular weekly and monthly reporting (Sales Figures, Number of Quotes, Orders)
- Ensure customer service levels are maintained to the highest standard
- Support the Sales Team with customer quotations and large tenders
- Support the Sales Team with customer meetings
- Maintain Sales staff training records
- Conduct 1-2-1’s monthly / quarterly with direct reports
