CAD Design Engineer – SolidWorks * Northampton | £35,000 per annum | Permanent * Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm We're recruiting a CAD Design Engineer for a specialist manufacturer of architectural sheet metal products in Northampton. You'll be designing components that are manufactured onsite and used in construction projects, including cladding, aluminium profiles, flashings and bespoke metalwork. Why is this job worth considering? * £35,000 salary in a permanent, full time position. * Hands on design work – see your drawings turned into finished products. * Varied projects – architectural cladding, aluminium profiles and bespoke sheet metal components. * SolidWorks and AutoCAD – working on both 2D and 3D designs. * Close to manufacturing – work directly with the people producing your designs. * No sales or estimating responsibilities – your focus is design and technical drawings. * Monday to Friday, with free onsite parking and a Christmas shutdown. What do you need? * Good working experience with SolidWorks. * Ability to produce accurate engineering and manufacturing drawings. * Understanding of sheet metal fabrication, profiles and manufacturing processes. * Confidence working with dimensions, tolerances and technical specifications.
