Mechanical Maintenance Engineer / Fitter – Heavy Industry £40,000 – £42,000 + Weekly Bonus (£200 average) + Overtime Realistic Earnings: £55,000+  |  Paid Weekly Permanent  | Site Based in Coalville  | 4 Day Week  | Mon–Thurs  | 4am–2pm OR 5am–3pm Join a True Market Leader This is your chance to join one of only three companies in the UK producing this specialist product. Part of a wider group with 19 UK sites and 2,300+ employees, this site has recently undergone a £1.8m upgrade, integrating AI and automation to drive efficiency and safety. Their engineering team is stable, proactive, and forward thinking and they’re looking for someone to take ownership of their own area and help push the factory to even greater performance. The Role You’ll maintain three large, bespoke machines in a fully indoor area, supported by another engineer and a dedicated production crew. You’ll be trusted to make decisions on the ground. This team doesn’t wait to be told, they act. Mechanical fault finding & repair Welding (essential) Work on hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, heavy plant Take ownership of your machines and make safety first decisions Balance preventative and reactive maintenance – reduce breakdowns, not just fix them Use 5Y/Root Cause tools to deliver continuous improvement Be part of a team currently running at 92% OEE — and improving What We’re Looking For This role suits people used to getting their hands dirty and thinking on their feet. Experience from concrete, brick, aggregates, quarrying, cement, steel, or similar heavy industry Strong mechanical background + confident welding skills Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, and plant Takes initiative – if a fix needs doing, you get it sorted Safety conscious and able to work independently Comfortable working in a tough but rewarding environment What’s In It For You £40,000 – £42,000 basic salary £200/week average OEE bonus – paid weekly (circa £10k bonus total per year) Every other Friday worked paid at 1.5x Loyalty bonus after 3 years £500 refer a friend scheme Onsite training in confined spaces, cherry picker, dumper truck, IPAF etc. All PPE & workwear provided 4 day week – fixed day shifts – no nights Apply Today Apply here or speak to Josh Whitmore at Your Recruiters.
