Maintenance Support Coordinator

Good with Excel, confident with people and comfortable working in a busy manufacturing environment?

This is a coordination and administration role supporting maintenance and production.

You’ll work from the production and maintenance office, producing reports, managing information and budgets, coordinating jobs and taking part in daily meetings with supervisors and management.

You won’t spend all day behind a desk either.

Around 20% of your time will be spent in the factory and yard, speaking to people, checking progress and getting the information you need.

What will you be doing?

  • Attend daily meetings with supervisors and management, take notes, track actions and contribute information from your area.
  • Produce reports, graphs and spreadsheets covering maintenance costs, equipment performance, oil and diesel consumption, energy usage and operational performance.
  • Track the maintenance budget using Excel, including expenditure and committed costs.
  • Create, monitor and close maintenance jobs using the company’s bespoke system.
  • Prepare weekly maintenance packs and check breakdown reports, 5 Why information and maintenance records.
  • Maintain records for machinery, trucks, vehicles and other assets across the site.
  • Coordinate servicing, repairs and remedial work, including purchase orders, invoices and subcontractor bookings.
  • Chase suppliers and internal teams for updates and make sure actions are completed.
  • Spend time in the factory and yard speaking with engineers, supervisors and managers to check progress and gather information.
  • What we’re looking for
  • Experience in administration, maintenance support, planning, scheduling, purchasing, asset management or operational coordination.
  • Good Excel skills and confidence working with spreadsheets, reports, graphs, numbers and budgets.
  • Confidence participating in daily meetings with supervisors and management and contributing when required.
  • Comfortable picking up the phone, chasing information and dealing with different people across a business.
  • Organised and accurate, particularly when working on time-critical tasks.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment and regularly moving between the office, factory and yard.
  • Able to learn and confidently use bespoke systems.
  • Salary & Benefits
  • £28,000 basic salary
  • Monthly production bonus, dependent on team performance
  • 30 days’ holiday including bank holidays
  • Pension scheme
  • Full training and ongoing development
  • Opportunities to progress your career
