Internal sales Representative in Birmingham

Position Summary

Internal Sales Representative – Permanent Contract, starting ASAP. Location: Sutton Coldfield (B76). Salary: £32,000pa – £35,000pa (DOE) plus generous commission. Hours: 40 hrs per week (8.30am – 5.00pm Mon – Fri).

Responsibilities

• Promote and sell all company products to the Aerospace Market (Aluminum, Titanium, Steel, and other metals).
• Develop, track, and maintain a customer base in the assigned territory.
• Complete and maintain all customer records.
• Cold‐call new accounts, reactivate dormant accounts, and log prospects.
• Make changes or updates to account information in StelPlan.
• Execute monthly territory reviews.
• Provide best‑in‑class customer service: timely responses to order status requests, quote requests, and missing paperwork (TRs, BOLs, invoices).
• Interface with customers via visits, phone, email, and scheduled meetings with Sales Manager.
• Generate profitable revenue through order closing and order taking.
• Resolve customer‑related problems and issues on a best‑effort basis.
• Process customer orders in StelPlan, including Buy RC, Process RC, Transfer RC, and PO acknowledgement.
• Update quotation log and correspondence for RFQs, orders, and quotations.
• Provide feedback to Management and Administrative Departments on competitor activity, inventory status, new product initiatives, and customer feedback.
• Submit high‑level visit reports to the Sales Manager; assist in maintaining A/R integrity (credit and RA forms, debt collection, daily credit hold list).
• Promote new product lines with current and prospective accounts.
• Respond to Sales Management on questions or projects and to departmental requests concerning orders or other business issues.
• Participate in departmental and company meetings; prepare “Industry Scoop”, attend Sales Meetings, make presentations, and offer constructive suggestions.

Qualifications

• Sales or business development experience within metal, aerospace distribution, or a similar industry.
