Position: Workshop Fitter

Location: Wednesbury, West Midlands

Working Hours: 45 hours per week

Travel Required: Up to 10% (day travel)

Your Role as a Workshop Fitter:

  • Perform maintenance, repairs, and refurbishments on volumetric mixers
  • Diagnose faults and carry out repairs efficiently to minimise downtime
  • Work on hydraulics, electrical systems, and welding as needed
  • Conduct quality checks and maintain accurate records of work performed
  • Occasionally visit customer sites for service and repairs (day travel only)
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised workspace

What You Need to Succeed:

  • Experience as a Fitter working with heavy equipment (CAT, JCB, John Deere, Komatsu, or similar)
  • Strong mechanical knowledge, including hydraulics, electrical fault-finding, and welding
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Willingness to work occasional out-of-hours shifts when required
