Press Brake Operator Temp to Perm Contract to start ASAP!
Location: Banbury OX16
Hours of Work: 40.5hrs per week (7.00am - 4.30pm Mon - Thurs & Fri 2.00pm finish)
Salary: £14.24ph - £15.20ph DOE (£30,000 to £32,000 rising to £34,000 after probation)
The Role
As a Press Brake Operator, you will be responsible for setting and operating press brake machinery to produce high-quality sheet metal components to precise specifications. You will also receive training on punch presses, giving you the opportunity to become a more versatile, multi-skilled operator.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate press brake machinery safely and efficiently
- Set and run press brakes to manufacture sheet metal parts
- Read and work from engineering drawings
- Inspect finished components to ensure quality standards are met
- Carry out basic machine checks and adjustments
- Work closely with the production team to meet deadlines and production targets
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working area
- Train on punch presses and develop into a multi-skilled operator
What We Are Looking For
- Previous experience as a Press Brake Operator, Brake Press Operator, Sheet Metal Operator, Machine Operator, or CNC Press Brake Operator
- Experience within an engineering, sheet metal, fabrication, or manufacturing environment
- Experience setting and operating press brakes
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Reliable and proactive approach to work
- Willingness to learn new machinery and complete training on punch presses
