Looking for a role where every shift genuinely matters? As a Community Care Worker, you will support residents to live safely, independently and with dignity within their own homes and retirement village communities.

What you'll do

You will join a supportive village services team delivering planned care, responding to emergency alarm calls and promoting day-to-day wellbeing. The role combines hands-on personal care, companionship and responsive support, helping people maintain independence while feeling safe and connected.

Key Responsibilities - Care & Support

  • Deliver person-centred care in line with individual care plans
  • Support with personal care including washing, dressing and toileting
  • Assist with meals, light housekeeping and daily routines
  • Encourage independence and choice in daily living
  • Provide companionship and emotional support
  • Support access to activities and community engagement

Key Responsibilities - Wellbeing & Emergency Response

  • Respond quickly to emergency alarm calls
  • Provide basic first aid within training where required
  • Escalate concerns to emergency services or senior staff
  • Monitor and report changes in wellbeing
  • Support coordination of healthcare appointments and referrals
  • Maintain accurate care notes and incident records

Working Hours

Flexible working patterns based on service needs. Shifts range from short visits to longer care shifts, depending on support requirements. A regular weekly rota will be agreed wherever possible.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous care experience is desirable but not essential as full training is provided.
  • Commitment to complete Care Certificate NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent).
  • Enhanced DBS check, right to work in the UK required.
  • Ability to provide three references, at least two professional.
