Housing Officer

We’re looking for a Housing Officer to provide a professional, resident-focused housing management service across Your Place accommodation. This is a varied and rewarding role at the heart of housing operations, helping residents sustain their accommodation while ensuring homes are safe, well-managed, and compliant.

Key areas of responsibility include:

• Managing tenancy and licence agreements, sign-ups and move-ins

• Monitoring rent accounts and supporting arrears prevention

• Coordinating voids and helping to minimise vacancy periods

• Responding to housing-related enquiries and resident issues

• Supporting compliance, property standards and access arrangements

• Working collaboratively with Finance, Repairs, Support Services and Resident Services teams

• Maintaining accurate records and contributing to service performance reporting

We're looking for someone with experience in housing, supported housing, homelessness, customer service or another resident-facing role, who is organised, professional, compassionate, and able to manage challenging situations in a firm but fair manner.

Your Place where homelessness is solved one person at a time.

Your Place is much more than somewhere to call home. We work one-to-one with people experiencing homelessness, helping them to regain their self-belief and rebuild their lives. We can’t end homelessness for everyone overnight. But we can solve it one person at a time.

We run two main servicesfrom our base at 81 Barking Road - our core hostel (which accounts for approximately 80% of our bed spaces) supportingpeople experiencing homelessness with low to medium support needs,as well as our intensive support service for people who need extra help on their journeys.
