Overview
Halo Merthyr Tydfil Leisure Centre provides the perfect backdrop for personal trainers to thrive. The gym has a range of cardio and resistance equipment such as bikes and treadmills as well as plenty of free weights. It also has a dedicated strength and conditioning training area. The role will involve up to 12 hours a week of paid work as a fitness instructor, requiring you to deliver member engagement activity and daily fitness tasks. Outside of these hours you have the ability to operate your own Personal Training licence with YOUR PT. As a Hybrid PT you will take responsibility for delivering a world class fitness service and customer experience. You must be customer focused and have a passion for high standards.
Responsibilities
- Carry out welcome visits with new customers.
- Deliver group exercise classes.
- Work practically with members to tailor personalised fitness programmes to their individual needs.
- Proactively engage with members on classes, forthcoming events, promotions and gym challenges.
Qualifications / Person Specification
- The successful candidate will possess and be able to evidence the following personal characteristics: Enthusiastic and personable, who enjoys interacting with the public.
- Able to communicate with and motivate people from a variety of backgrounds.
- Outgoing personality with a glass half full attitude.
- You must also hold a minimum Level 3 PT Qualification.
