Your NRG, a trusted independent fuel distributor for over 15 years, is seeking a Night Loader.
Based in Hartlepool, you’ll be responsible for the safe pre-loading of fuel tankers from both depot and terminal, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and readiness for nationwide delivery. This role requires attention to detail, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to work efficiently as part of a professional night team.
Responsibilities:
- Responsibility for the safe operation of multiple fuel tankers, pre-loading from both depot and terminal. Mainly delivering diesel, gas oil and kerosene, however, delivery of petrol and future fuels such as HVO & GTL will be required dependant on demand.
- Delivering a consistent first class service, providing a friendly and professional approach to all colleagues. Responsibility for the safe operation of a fuel tanker potentially delivering to both Domestic and Commercial Customers.
- A conscientious and sympathetic driving style, ensuring compliance at all times with road traffic laws and promoting Safe and Fuel Efficient Driving (SAFED).
- Accurate completion of paperwork for all loading, deliveries and stock levels.
- Completion of daily vehicle checks, reporting of defects and maintaining general maintenance as required.
- Adherence to Transport legislation and take Work time and Driving breaks in accordance with EU legislation.
- Challenge any unsafe or questionable behaviour, immediately reporting any such instance to your line manage
- An ability to develop and maintain a harmonious team working environment, reducing points of conflict, and resolving any issues at the earliest stage possible.
- An ability to make the best use of the resources available to address the agreed priorities.
- A comprehensive understanding and knowledge of all relevant regulatory, law and compliance legislation
Qualifications and/or experience preferred:
- C+E Licence
- Full ADR licence
- PDP Driver CPC
- SAFED, ROSPA or equivalently qualified
- Multi-drop and bulk liquid fuel distribution experience
- Conscientious and reliable Personable and able to build relationships with customers
- Good geographical knowledge of the areas serviced from the driver’s base
