Handyman required This is a great opportunity to join a rapidly growing business, operating through London, Greater London and within a certain radius of the M25. We are seeking a versatile and skilled Handy Man to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a wide range of repair, maintenance, and installation tasks. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work, combined with strong trades experience and customer service skills. The ideal candidate will be a hard working self starter with the ability to work independently, or as part of a team. Key Responsibilities Minor electrical repairs : Replacing bulbs, rewiring sockets, installing doorbells, alarms, and thermostats. Minor plumbing fixes : Installing taps, sinks, repairing minor leaks, re-apply sealant. Carpentry joinery : Installing cabinets, doors, countertops, flooring (tiles, laminate, hardwood), and repairing fixtures. Painting decorating : Painting walls and ceilings, sanding surfaces, touching up skirting boards and frames. Roofing guttering : Identifying and repairing leaks, clearing debris, replacing shingles, and improving insulation. Landscaping groundskeeping : Mowing lawns, trimming hedges, weeding, watering beds, and repairing fences or walls. General maintenance : Conducting safety checks, installing security systems, and performing routine upkeep on office or building facilities. Essential Skills Qualifications Practical experience with hand and power tools. Physical stamina and ability to work in various environments (indoors, outdoors, at height, in basements). Basic literacy and numeracy (GCSEs or equivalent in English and maths). Safety awareness : Following OSHA or UK health and safety guidelines, and using protective equipment. Customer service skills : Communicating clearly with clients, providing quotes, and maintaining professionalism. Relevant certifications (not mandatory but highly valued): NVQ, CSCS card, First Aid, PAT testing, or Domestic Installer status. Work Environment Schedule Works in homes, offices, schools, hospitals, retail spaces, and construction sites. Weekday hours (9amβ5pm), though evening or weekend may occasionally come up.
