Role Overview
We are seeking an exceptional Senior Technical Programme & Delivery Manager to lead programme delivery across a Focus Area (e.g., Produce, Sell, Deliver, or Engage & Grow) within our new domain-driven operating model. This is a strategic leadership role that spans multiple business domains, requiring you to orchestrate complex, interdependent programmes while balancing competing priorities.
Reporting to the Director, Technical Portfolio Management, you will be accountable for the successful delivery of transformation initiatives including our Unified Content (UC) Platform, legacy system transitions, in-year revenue commitments, and ongoing simplification work. You will work at the intersection of business strategy and technical execution, partnering with Domain Leads, Product Directors, Engineering Heads, and senior business stakeholders.
This role requires someone who can operate with significant autonomy, exercise independent judgement on matters of strategic importance, and influence outcomes across organizational boundaries.
Scope & Level
- Scope: You own and deliver programmes/initiatives to achieve organisation-level goals and key results across multiple domains within your Focus Area.
- Complexity: Addresses problems and solutions spanning multiple teams and domains, building consensus at intra-department level.
- Discretion: Uses independent judgement and unique knowledge to contribute to and influence department-level goals and objectives.
- Interaction: Works primarily with senior leadership, Domain Leads, and cross-functional executives.
- Supervision: Acts independently to determine best practices and procedures. May supervise or mentor other programme managers.
What You'll Be Doing
Strategic Programme Leadership
- Own the integrated roadmap across 2-4 domains within your Focus Area, ensuring alignment with business strategy and UC Platform delivery
- Balance and prioritise competing demands: UC Platform go-live, legacy system transitions, in-year revenue commitments, tech debt reduction, and simplification initiatives
- Develop and maintain visibility across all transformation workstreams, providing clear line-of-sight from strategy to execution
- Build business cases for major initiatives, securing capital funding and resource allocation in partnership with senior leadership
- Identify and manage dependencies across domains, proactively resolving conflicts and removing blockers
- Drive quarterly planning and alignment across your Focus Area, ensuring domain roadmaps are coherent and achievable
Transformation & Transition Management
- Lead the transition from legacy/existing systems to the Unified Content Platform within your Focus Area
- Manage the complexity of running parallel systems during transition periods while maintaining operational stability
- Ensure in-year revenue targets are protected during transformation activities
- Drive simplification initiatives that reduce technical complexity and operational overhead
- Coordinate cutover planning, data migration, and go-live activities across multiple domains
Cross-Domain Orchestration
- Serve as the primary integration point across domains within your Focus Area, ensuring coherent delivery
- Facilitate cross-domain dependency management, working with peer Senior TPMs in other Focus Areas
- Lead governance forums and steering committees at the Focus Area level
- Manage escalations and drive resolution of issues that span multiple domains
- Ensure consistent delivery practices and standards across your Focus Area
Senior Stakeholder Management
- Partner with Domain Leads, Product Directors, and Engineering Heads to align on priorities and delivery approach
- Provide regular updates to senior leadership on programme health, risks, and strategic decisions required
- Build trusted relationships with business stakeholders, translating technical complexity into business impact
- Represent the Focus Area in portfolio-level discussions and planning sessions
- Influence and negotiate across organizational boundaries to achieve programme outcomes
Team Leadership & Capability Building
- Mentor and coach TPMs and Project Managers working within your Focus Area
- Build programme management capability and maturity across the domains you support
- Champion best practices in delivery methodology, tooling, and governance
- Contribute to the strategic direction of the PMO function
Qualifications
Essential
- 10+ years of experience in technical programme management, with at least 4 years leading programmes spanning multiple teams or departments
- Proven track record of delivering complex transformation programmes involving system transitions, platform migrations, or large-scale technology change
- Experience balancing multiple competing priorities (e.g., new platform delivery vs. keeping existing systems running vs. revenue protection)
- Strong commercial awareness with experience managing programmes with significant revenue or cost implications
- Demonstrated ability to operate with autonomy, exercising independent judgement on matters of strategic importance
- Excellence in senior stakeholder management, with experience influencing at Director/VP level
- Experience in software development environments with strong understanding of agile, lean, and hybrid delivery methodologies
- Outstanding communication skills - able to translate complex technical concepts for business audiences and vice versa
Desirable
- Experience in publishing, media, or content platforms
- Background in domain-driven design or capability-based operating models
- Experience with large-scale platform consolidation or legacy system decommissioning
- Formal programme management qualification (MSP, PgMP, or equivalent)
- Experience leading programmes in a matrix organization with distributed teams

You must have the right to work and live in India.
Location: The successful candidate will be able to utilise our balanced working model. We ask that candidates live within a commutable distance of our Bengaluru office to ensure that as a balanced worker they can make it to our office location to collaborate as required. There is an expectation for a minimum of 3 days per week in-person time.
