React Native Engineer, Expo, Claude
Contract: 1 month initially Rate: £550-600 per day Location: Fully remote Status: Outside IR35
We're looking for an experienced React Native Engineer to join us on a short-term contract to help build and improve an Android fitness app. This is an opportunity to work on a fast-moving product with a strong focus on AI-assisted development and modern engineering workflows.
You'll be joining at an important stage of the product, so we're looking for someone who can hit the ground running, work independently, and deliver high-quality features quickly.
What you'll be doing
- Building and improving features for an Android fitness app using React Native.
- Working within an Expo-based codebase.
- Collaborating remotely with the product and engineering team to deliver outcomes quickly.
- Using Claude, agentic workflows, and AI tools to accelerate development and problem-solving.
- Helping shape pragmatic technical decisions in a short, focused engagement.
What we're looking for
- Strong commercial experience as a React Native Engineer.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Expo.
- Proven experience building Android mobile apps.
- Familiarity with Claude, agentic development approaches, and AI-assisted engineering workflows.
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote contract role.
- Comfortable delivering quickly in a startup or product-led environment.
