Our client in Harrow are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Duty Occupational Therapist to join a well-structured and dynamic team.

The client offers a full time and part time contract with an opportunity to work from home, a fair and manageable caseload and further training in your portfolio.

The vacancy will be for an initial 3 - 6 months with potential for extension.

Main Duties for the Duty Occupational Therapist includes;

  • Screen and prioritise incoming referrals based on urgency and risk.
  • Determine appropriate pathways, including assessment, provision of advice, or signposting.
  • Respond to duty queries from professionals, service users, and carers.
  • Undertake occupational therapy assessments focusing on functional ability and independence.
  • Identify environmental barriers and risks within the home.
  • Recommend and arrange provision of community equipment (e. g. grab rails, seating, bathing aids).
  • Assess for and refer for minor and major adaptations in line with legislation and local policy.
  • Ensure safe and appropriate use of prescribed equipment.
  • Respond to urgent cases, including hospital discharges and individuals at risk of admission.
  • Previous experience working as an Occupational Therapist in duty
  • HCPC Registration
  • Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you)
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Occupational Therapist Qualification
