  • Lead capacity planning, performance optimization, and cost-management activities, including lifecycle governance for infrastructure components.
  • Define and support high-availability, disaster recovery, business continuity, and backup strategies.
  • Produce and maintain architectural documentation including solution diagrams, standards, runbooks, technical recommendations, and impact assessments.
  • Mentor engineering and operations teams through design reviews, architecture coaching, and technical guidance.
  • Participate in incident reviews and postmortems, identifying architectural improvements to enhance stability and prevent recurrence.

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Hands‑on experience with at least one major public cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) and strong understanding of cloud‑native architectures.
  • Strong foundation in networking (routing, switching, load balancing, VPN, DNS), virtualization (VMware, Hyper‑V), and storage architectures.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration platforms (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Deep understanding of infrastructure security including IAM, network segmentation, encryption, and vulnerability management.
  • Practical experience with automation and Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, etc.).
  • Familiarity with observability and monitoring platforms (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, Datadog).
  • Experience with high‑availability design, disaster recovery planning, backup technologies, and capacity planning.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical options and trade‑offs to varied stakeholder groups.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Certifications

  • Cloud certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Professional Cloud Architect.
  • Infrastructure/architecture certifications including TOGAF, CCNA/CCNP, VMware VCP.
  • Security or DevOps‑related certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, HashiCorp Certified) are advantageous.

Behavioral & Leadership Competencies

  • Strategic, forward‑thinking mindset with a focus on delivering practical solutions.
  • Strong problem‑solving capabilities, especially in ambiguous or complex environments.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate across diverse technical and business teams.
