MIG Welder

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious MIGWelderto join our production team.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in welding, fabrication, and the safe use of hand tools and machinery.

You will be responsible for building trailers and trailer components in accordance with company procedures, safety guidelines, and production specifications.

We welcome applications from manufacturing backgrounds, Welding applications with Stainless Steel & Mild Steel.

Key Responsibilities of the MIG Welder role

  • Operate in compliance with all company operating procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Interpret and assess production information to meet specification standards, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and on time.
  • Follow written, oral, diagrammatic, and schedule-based instructions.
  • Operate machinery safely and effectively within your area of responsibility.
  • Support other areas of production within your capabilities as required.
  • Identify and report unsafe working conditions.
  • Suggest continuous improvements in process, quality, waste reduction, and visual management.
  • Report any defects in welding or cutting equipment to the Team Leader.
  • Use a range of handheld tools and cranes to assemble trailers in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Proven experience using oxygen/acetylene, MIG welding, and various hand and power tools for cutting, welding, and drilling metals.
  • Welding vocational training or equivalent is desirable.
  • Solid understanding of welding practices, tools, and safety precautions.
  • Ability to fabricate and repair metal using various welding machinery and techniques.
  • Skilled in using and maintaining hand and power tools.
  • Strong manual dexterity and ability to handle tools and equipment safely.
  • Experience in trailer and trailer body manufacturing is desirable.
  • Ability to inspect and verify item dimensions (length, width, shape) accurately.
