Mechanical Project Manager
Location: Cambridge, Cambridgeshire
Salary:: £55,000 to £64,000

A regional M&E Contractor are looking for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join their growing team in Cambridge.
As the Mechanical Project Manager will be responsible for the successful delivery of mechanical building services projects with typical values ranging from £1m to £5m across East Anglia and surrounding regions. Projects will span a variety of sectors including education, healthcare, commercial and industrial developments.
The role requires an experienced Mechanical Project Manager with a proven track record in delivering mechanical building services projects, encompassing the following systems:
Ventilation, heat recovery, natural ventilation and fume extraction systems
Low Temperature Hot Water (LTHW) systems, including district heating, gas-fired plant and air source heat pumps
Chilled water systems
Air conditioning systems
Public health services, including domestic water and drainage
Building Management Systems (BMS)

As the Mechanical Project Manager, you will have the following responsibilities:
Full project lifecycle, including budget management, procurement, programme planning, site delivery, commissioning and final handover.
Ensure the projects are completed according to schedule and budget, undertaking effective planning.
Liaison with clients, main contractors, consultants, supply chain, delivery teams and internal management teams.
Maintain project trackers, producing regular progress reports and ensuring effective communication throughout all stages of the project.
Attend and lead project meetings.
Oversee working practices, ensuring compliance with HSE policies.
Successful applicants will have the following qualifications and experience:
A strong working knowledge of mechanical building services systems, relevant industry standards and statutory regulations is essential to ensure high-quality installations and compliance.
Proven track record of successfully managing mechanical projects up to £5m (M&E).
Working for a Building Services Contractor at a similar level.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Knowledge of managing various stages of design process.
Consistently good financial returns on projects, considering all relevant factors.
Understanding of project procurement.
Good people management and motivational skills.
The ability to work under pressure to meet set deadlines.
The ability to plan, co-ordinate and prioritise workloads.
Strong results orientation.
You will have SMSTS, CSCS skills card and relevant industry qualification.
