This is an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Officer to join our Procurement Team within the Corporate Services Department. It is a great time to join the Procurement Team at Your Housing Group as we are supporting the business with a wide range of sourcing and contract activity including our new systems programme, planned investment works and more. Our Procurement Officer has completed her apprenticeship to obtain CIPS Level 4 and has now been promoted to Procurement Business Partner, so we are looking for our next Procurement Officer.
If you are passionate about procurement, wanting to enhance your tendering, sourcing and contract experience across a wide range of categories, and deliver real results enabling social and commercial value, this role is for you.
What will my working week look like?
You will be homebased, living within the North West, within a reasonable travelling distance of our Head Office in Warrington, to attend meetings and training courses when needed. Realistically, you will be required to visit our Head Office approximately 2 times per week. You will work closely with a wide variety of stakeholders and suppliers, becoming a trusted member of the Procurement Team, helping colleagues navigate procurement with confidence and clarity. Expect variety, visibility and the chance to make a noticeable difference across the business.
What will I be responsible for doing?
First and foremost, you will support the Head of Procurement and Procurement Business Partners to design and deliver procurement strategies, working closely with internal and external stakeholders. You will also lead on your own lower value procurement projects working closely with stakeholders to deliver quality results for the Group. One of the great things about this role is the breadth of categories and variety that you will gain exposure to and experience of. The role ensures compliance with the Procurement Act 2023, managing contract administration and reporting for the team.
