Are you passionate about bringing people together and creating engaging activities that make a real difference to older people's lives? This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience and knowledge of organising and delivering activities and events, to work with the residents of Brunswick Gardens, a Retirement Living Scheme in Woodhouse, Sheffield. As the Activity Coordinator, you will encourage and support residents to organise and lead their own activities and events, as well as building links with the wider community.

The core hours for our customers are Monday‑Friday, 9am to 5pm. The working pattern can be flexible and will be agreed with you, subject to it meeting the needs of residents and the business.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with residents to plan and deliver a varied programme of engaging and accessible activities, ensuring they are safe, inclusive and enjoyable for all.
  • Support residents to access activities where needed and encourage them to take an active role in shaping and leading the programme.
  • Manage your own workload independently.
Requirements
  • Experience of planning and delivering activities, events or community programmes.
  • Strong relationship‑building skills with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Understanding of health and safety and safeguarding principles.
Ideal:
  • Experience of working with older people.
  • Enthusiastic, creative and people‑focused, with a passion for improving the wellbeing of older people through meaningful social activities.
