This is a fabulous opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting vulnerable people to join our highly engaged team. Tiernan Lodge is a supported housing project with 20 individual flats. Tiernan Lodge offers people the opportunity to make progress in their lives, to build resilience & meet their aspirations.
As a Project Officer you will play a key role in supporting residents to help them achieve their goals, develop independent living and life skills, and you will build excellent relationships with residents, colleagues and professionals from external agencies.
The role will also involve travelling across the borough to support and manage a caseload in their individual home environment as well as within our staffed scheme. You will have the ability to relate well to a vulnerable client base from a wide variety of backgrounds, demonstrate empathy and provide service users with a safe, supportive and welcoming environment. A flexible and enthusiastic approach is essential within the team whilst ensuring that the highest standard of service is provided at all times.
The Project Officers work 7 & 11 hour shifts on a rolling 12 week rota between the hours of 8am and 8pm. This includes weekends and bank holidays, and you will be expected to manage your caseload within these times.
You will have the ability to relate well to a vulnerable client base from a wide variety of backgrounds, demonstrate empathy and provide service users with a safe, supportive and welcoming environment. A flexible and enthusiastic approach is essential within the team whilst ensuring that the highest standard of service is provided at all times.
To be successful as a Project Officer:
- Ability to use a range of IT Software Packages
- Experience of working in a busy office environment
- Ability to calmly deal with emergency situations
- Ability to prioritise a busy workload, working unsupervised and using own initiative
- Ability to maintain accurate confidential records
