This is an exciting opportunity for a Housekeeper at Tiernan Lodge/dispersed properties within the Wigan area, who is passionate about supporting vulnerable people, to join our highly engaged team and provide a professional and reliable cleaning service.
Tiernan Lodge is a homeless person’s scheme, offering customers the opportunity to make progress in their lives, to build resilience and meet their aspirations.
As our Housekeeper, you will carry out a range of high-standard cleaning duties in all indoor (offices and communal areas) and outdoor areas of the building, providing a clean and hygienic environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
You will ensure our flats provide residents with the highest standards of accommodation. Responsibilities include deep cleaning of vacant flats, washing bedding, preparing flats for new occupants, and working off-site in our dispersed tenancies to ensure readiness for re-let. You will also be responsible for transporting cleaning equipment and replenishment items such as bedding, plates, kettles, etc.
You will mainly be based at Tiernan Lodge but may also work off-site. You must have ‘business use’ on your vehicle insurance to reclaim mileage for travel to these properties. Access to a vehicle is beneficial.

What will my working week look like?
The hours are 16 hours per week, excluding weekends and bank holidays.
You will be the first impression of our scheme to customers, staff, visitors, and professionals.
Other responsibilities include:

- Knowledge of cleaning products & relevant procedures (such as COSHH & PPE).
