You will play an instrumental role leading delivery of our repairs service, leveraging your previous experience in leading a customer focused repairs team to help drive increasing service excellence and adherence to compliance and operational standards. As part of the Your Housing repairs management team, you will thrive in taking full responsibility for delivering a high performing repairs and maintenance service. You will support with continuing our success by driving a customer focused, efficient and effective in-house delivery and supply chain, proactively mixing tried and tested and new ways of working, to deliver our continuous improvement targets.
We are looking for a driven customer focused people manager with excellent communication skills to work to deliver a high-quality repairs service.
What will my working week look like?
You will be homebased, living within the Northwest, within a reasonable travelling distance of our Head Office in Warrington, to attend meetings and training courses when needed. Realistically, you will be required to visit our Head Office and be out within your region managing the workforce two to three times a week.
What will I be responsible for doing?
You will have an instrumental role leading delivery of our repairs service, leveraging your previous experience in leading a customer focused repairs team to help drive increasing service excellence and ensure adherence to compliance and operational standards. You will support with continuing our success by being customer focused, owning performance management, both of in-house delivery and supply chain, proactively mixing tried and tested and new ways of working, to deliver our continuous improvement targets.
As a member of the repairs and maintenance management team, you will coach and develop a number of supervisors and other teams, but just as important you will be a visible and proactive leader across the broader repairs team and the Group - confident and able to both influence and consult as a critical friend to a wide range of senior internal stakeholders, external partners and suppliers.
As a Contract Manager, you will be seen as our subject matter expert for all Repairs & Maintenance activity within your region associated with Health and Safety compliance, demand and capacity planning, customer satisfaction, field operations and performance management of the workforce.

You will be genuinely motivated to achieve results, have resilience and tact, and demonstrable prior experience of working at a similar level in a fast paced commercial/FM/housing environment.
Ideally you will have:
- Experience of managing and delivering a response repairs service
- Educated to Degree level or have relevant experience
- Experience of building and maintaining constructive relationships with stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to share and give clear instructions
- Strong analytical and writing skills
- Principal contractor duties under CDM regulations
- Full UK Driving License and access to a vehicle
- Collaborative team player, customer and performance focused
