This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join the ICT Changeteam at Your Housing Group. We are embarking on a 5-year programme to implement a full-scale replacement of our internal business systems whilst also managing wide-ranging in-flight ICT programmes including a Cyber Security and System Maintenance programme and a Technology modernisation programme, which will include the design and build out of our Microsoft cloud (Azure) presence, migration and implementation of new Microsoft platform management solutions and replacement of our legacy MPLS with a new SD-WAN based networking product.

Delivery of these programmes will facilitate the shift from legacy applications to a range of new technologies as part of the wider ICT strategic roadmap. We need an experienced and creative ICT Project Manager to help us deliver several of the projects these exciting programmes comprise.

You will be homebased, living within the Northwest, within a reasonable travelling distance of our Head Office in Warrington, to attend meetings and engage with colleagues and suppliers. You’ll be required to visit our Head Office on average once a week.

First and foremost, you will manage the delivery of the assigned projects within the programmes, ensuring plans are comprehensive, realistic, and effectively resourced. One of the great things about this role is that you will be responsible for the implementation of leading-edge cloud-based technologies to comprehensively modernise the YHG estate.

You will need to manage risks, issues, and dependencies effectively, contribute to the success of the assigned programmes by ensuring that the projects you deliver achieve the desired outcomes for the programme and positively maintain relationships with senior stakeholders and suppliers ensuring active engagement and support for delivery.

To be successful as an ICT Project Manager, here at YHG, you will have:

  • A strong Project Management background with experience in managing cloud-based implementation and migration projects with a clear focus on time, budget, and quality criteria.
  • Effective interpersonal skills, being tactful, clear, and ensuring open interactions with others.
  • Effective stakeholder management skills with the ability to work well with people at all levels of the organisation as well as suppliers.

Ideally you will:

  • Have a recognised Project Management qualification such as PRINCE2, PMI - Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent.
  • Be a collaborative team player.
  • Be able to work proactively in a continually changing work environment with changing priorities.
  • Have knowledge / experience of the Social Housing Sector.

This role is really suited to someone who likes to use their technical acumen to successfully deliver projects at the forefront of technology and use their expertise alongside their interpersonal skills to effectively influence the hearts and minds of all stakeholders but particularly those who may be resistant to change.

If you feel this could be the right role for you, we would love to hear from you!

In return we offer up to £45k for a 35 hour week, and 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays, but our employee deal offers much more than just a competitive salary and holiday allowance. At #TeamYHG we measure performance on outputs and quality, not hours and minutes. We offer a flexible, homeworking culture where you’re trusted to get the job done.

On top of this, we’ll provide you with a great benefits package, including a contributory pension where we match whatever you choose to contribute (up to 8%), an advanced level Healthcare cash plan through Medicash, and an amazing discount scheme that gives you access to half price cinema tickets, subsidised gym memberships and a huge range of discounts with some of the biggest high street and online names.
