Job summary
Are you a registered Nurse Associate? Wanting a challenging new career? We are recruiting Nurse Associates to join our community nursing service in Kingston.
Working with a team of nurses and District Nurse Leads you will be independently visiting clients in their own home to deliver care. You will need to have a range of skills including wound care, catheterising, venepuncture and skin management.
This is a permanent post and is for 37.5 hrs per week. The usual working hours are and will be Monday Sunday, working 1 weekend every 3 weeks. A late shift of :00 is also worked approx. every 2 weeks. This role will be required to work weekends & unsocial hours.
Your base will be Hollyfield House although you will also need to be able to travel independently to patients homes.

Main duties of the job
You will need excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and be confident with using IT systems.

A car driver with your own car is also essential.

Qualifications
Essential
- Foundation Degree in Nursing.
- Trained Nursing Associate Registered with the NMC.
- Understands and acts in line with NMC professional standards for practice contained within The Code, and NMC Nursing Associate Standards of Proficiency.
- GCSE/Functional skills in English & Maths level 2
Desirable
- Knowledge of Clinical Audit and Clinical Governance
Experience
Essential
- Understands the scope of the role of the Nursing Associate in context of the nursing and interdisciplinary team and the organisation, and how the role may contribute to service development.
- Knowledge of when to seek advice and elevate to the appropriate professional for expert help.
- Understand requirements for NMC professional revalidation
- Previous experience of working in a health care environment. Supporting people to improve and maintain their mental, physical, behavioural health and wellbeing
Desirable
- Experience of working within the community setting.
