Since our launch in 2004, we have seen swift expansion and now boast a team of over 180 professionals based in our offices in London, Brighton, St Andrews, and Killarney. Throughout this journey, we have established incredible relationships with our suppliers and customers, created an extensive array of exceptional travel products and experiences, garnered numerous awards... and this is only the beginning!
At Your Golf Travel, we are driven by our "Always Going The Extra Yard" values, a set of four core principles that define how we work and who we are:
- Customer First, Always: You will approach final balance collection with empathy and insight, turning potentially difficult financial conversations into positive customer experiences.
- Own It, Together: You will take personal accountability for reducing overdue debt, collaborating seamlessly and quickly with Sales and Operations to ensure our payment timelines are clear and consistent.
- Think Smart, Act Bold: We want you to challenge the status quo. You will look at our existing collection processes, timings, and communication channels with a strategic continuous improvement lens to limit business risk.

- Risk Assessment: Evaluate overdue bookings to assess YGT’s exposure to potential supplier cancellation charges and take immediate preventative action.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Partner with the Sales and Operations teams to align and improve customer messaging, ensuring clients strictly adhere to YGT’s terms, conditions, and payment timelines.
- Reporting & Analytics: Generate and maintain regular, accurate reports detailing overdue final balances, collection statuses, and action plans.
- Escalation Management: Identify high-risk accounts and escalate them efficiently to management to facilitate timely decisions regarding booking cancellations or amendments.
- Reporting: Provide insightful reporting and analysis on ways of working to improve our Credit Control workflows.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven Experience: Prior experience in Credit Control, Debt Collection, or a high-volume Accounts Receivable environment.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to navigate difficult conversations with diplomacy, firmness, and tact.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong attention to detail with the ability to assess financial risk (specifically around supplier cancellation terms).
- Collaboration: A team player who can work seamlessly across departments (Finance, Sales, and Ops) to implement new processes.
- Tech Savvy: Proficient in financial/billing software and CRM systems, with a knack for identifying how digital tools (like payment links) can speed up collection.
