Grants Administrator – Perfect for those returning to work after a career break
Are you looking to re-enter the workplace after time out raising a family? We understand the challenges of returning to work, and we value the skills and perspective you bring. At Your Energy Source, we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Grants Administrator to join our supportive team.
This role involves managing the life-cycle of grants for renewable energy projects — from reviewing proposals and ensuring compliance, to building relationships with funders and partners. You\'ll be helping to break down barriers to renewable energy, supporting our mission to make sustainable technologies accessible to all.
We know that returning to work is a big step, so we provide flexible working options, structured training, and a culture that values work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities
· Grant Proposal Evaluation: Review applications, check they meet requirements, and work with technical colleagues on project compliance.
· Compliance & Reporting: Ensure projects meet all funding and regulatory standards.
· Communication & Support: Be a main point of contact for grantees and partners, guiding them through the grant process.
· Relationship Building: Strengthen connections with funders and stakeholders to support renewable energy goals.
What We\'re Looking For
We\'re very open-minded about qualifications and backgrounds. What matters most is your ability to bring the right skills and mindset to the role.
· Education: A bachelor\'s degree in a relevant field (such as history, data analysis, environmental science, finance, or administration) would be an advantage, but it\'s not essential. We know that valuable skills are developed in many different ways, and we welcome applicants from all backgrounds.
· Experience: Ideally 2–4 years in grant management or another form of complex administration. However, if you have experience managing projects, budgets, or compliance processes in another setting — whether in previous employment or outside of work — we\'d love to hear from you.
· Skills we value:
o Strong organisation and attention to detail
o Confidence with numbers and basic financial management
o Clear written and verbal communication
o Ability to prioritise and manage deadlines
o Comfortable using Microsoft Office and open to learning new systems
If you\'ve taken a career break, please don\'t let that hold you back from applying — we know the value of the skills you\'ve gained, both inside and outside the workplace.
