Staying Put is a home improvement agency that helps older, disabled, and other vulnerable residents maintain their independence and remain living in their own homes. We offer advice, grants, loans for adaptation and repair works, hospital discharge and reablement services, a handyperson and gardening service, and signposting to other council departments and external contacts.
The Staying Put Administrator will provide administrative support for the daily operations of the service. This includes being the first point of contact for enquiries via email, phone, and post, as well as assisting with the administration of disabled facilities grants, home investment loans, financial assessments, approvals, payments, and customer service related to hospital discharge and reablement requests.
We are looking for an individual who can:
- Provide administrative support across the team.
- Coordinate and arrange appropriate actions by contractors and other professionals/organisations to achieve desired results.
- Organise, plan, and prioritise workload, demonstrating good time management skills to ensure prompt responses to service needs.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service and numeracy skills, with an eye for detail.
- Have strong planning and organisational skills and resilience in managing competing priorities.
- Communicate effectively and positively, both verbally and in writing, to different audiences.
