We have a vacancy for a Learner Services Administrator to provide learner support at Croydon Adult Learning and Training (CALAT), based at Strand House, Thornton Heath.
The role may require working at various Council Offices within Croydon, including CALAT centres at New Addington, Clock Tower, and Strand House.
CALAT offers a customer-facing service to adult learners. We seek an Administrator with a strong interest in adult learning, capable of providing front customer support and back-office/data entry support. Some evening or weekend work may be required on a rota basis.
The environment is fast-paced and demanding. The successful candidate will work well in a team and independently, demonstrating self-motivation and initiative.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing high-quality reception and customer service
- Delivering front-line customer support
- Possessing knowledge of financial administration
- Accurately and efficiently inputting data into databases
Essential requirements:
- Experience with systems and databases such as Unit-e, proficiency with financial databases like One Oracle, and skills in Secure Email, Word 2010, Excel 2010. Knowledge of SharePoint is also required.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercising tact and diplomacy when dealing with senior officers, the public, and service users, including handling complex matters.
- Resilience and ability to work effectively in a challenging environment.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic role.
This is a full-time position, working 8:45 am to 4:30 pm, 36 hours per week, on a permanent basis.
