We are proud to be recruiting on behalf of a valued client for an experienced and driven Fleet Manager to join their operations team. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a pivotal role where you’ll oversee the management, efficiency, and compliance of a busy commercial vehicle fleet.
Job Duties
- Oversee day-to-day fleet operations including maintenance, servicing, and inspections.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant transport, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Develop and maintain a preventative maintenance program to minimise downtime.
- Monitor fuel usage, mileage, and route efficiency to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Manage the fleet budget and support procurement of new or replacement vehicles.
- Produce performance reports and analyse fleet metrics such as fuel efficiency, downtime, and incident rates.
- Build strong relationships with vehicle suppliers, service providers, and fuel vendors.
- Ensure all drivers and operations follow strict safety procedures and reporting protocols.
What We’re Looking For
- 3–5 years of experience in fleet management or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of fleet operations, maintenance planning, and transport compliance.
- Excellent organisational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable using fleet management software and Microsoft Office.
- Valid UK driver’s licence and clean driving record.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for inspections or off-site oversight.
