About the Occupational Therapist role
Join our friendly Allied Health team as a Grade 2 Occupational Therapist and empower people to achieve their goals and maintain their independence. You'll support a diverse range of clients across community health, aged care and disability services while mentoring junior clinicians and students. Reporting to the Occupational Therapy Coordinator, this is a casual role based in Melbourne's northern suburbs.
Your Passion and Commitment will see you:
- Deliver safe, high-quality occupational therapy services to clients and their carers.
- Develop and deliver evidence-based care plans with client-directed goals as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Mentor and supervise Allied Health Assistants (AHAs), Grade 1 Occupational Therapists and students.
- Lead practical, clinically relevant learning opportunities for students and therapists.
- Monitor service quality, identify improvement opportunities and escalate issues that impact service delivery to the Occupational Therapy Coordinator.
To succeed in this role you will have:
- Current registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy.
- Eligibility for membership with Occupational Therapy Australia.
- Provider registration with the State Wide Equipment Program (SWEP) (desirable).
- Hold and maintain current Australian driver's licence
