As a Community Support Worker, you will provide person-centred support based around each individual’s needs, interests and goals. This may include supporting people to access the community, attend activities, develop independence, socialise, try new experiences and enjoy their day.
Key Responsibilities
Provide friendly, respectful and person-centred support to children and adults with disabilities.
Support individuals to access community activities, appointments, leisure activities and social opportunities.
Encourage independence, confidence and life skills wherever possible.
Support individuals with their chosen activities and interests.
Follow individual care and support plans and ensure their needs are met safely.
Promote choice, dignity, inclusion and independence at all times.
Communicate effectively with individuals, families and colleagues.
Complete relevant daily records and report any concerns appropriately.
Follow safeguarding, health and safety and company policies and procedures.
Work as part of a supportive team while also being confident working independently.
Be flexible and prepared to support individuals in different environments and activities.

We are looking for people who are kind, patient, dependable and genuinely enjoy helping others. Previous experience working with people with disabilities is beneficial but not always essential, as the right attitude, commitment and willingness to learn are equally important.
