The Ship, Wandsworth is looking for an experienced Deputy Manager or General Manager in Training who can hit the ground running in one of the busiest pubs in the estate. The Ship is famous for its huge summers and high-volume trading. This role is all about thriving in a fast-paced environment, leading large teams, and maintaining exceptional standards under pressure.

This role would suit an ambitious Deputy Manager, Designate Manager, or aspiring General Manager who is looking to gain valuable experience in a flagship, high-volume site before taking on their own pub in the near future.

Previous management experience within Young's or a similar premium pub operator is required, along with excellent attention to detail. This role has a strong operational and back-office focus, including:

  • Lost property management
  • Supporting payroll and people administration
  • Training, mentoring and developing junior management team members
  • Supporting the General Manager with the smooth running of the business
