Overview
General Manager in Training We\’re on the lookout for a General Manager in Training for our sites in Cambridge. You will join us at Assistant Manager level, and we\’ll work to develop your knowledge and skills with us, and when the time is right get you kicked off on our internal General Manager programme. You will have a background in leadership roles within hospitality – this could be pub based – but we\’d also be open to applications who have experience in restaurants or hotels who have a passion for pubs.
What we\\\’re looking for
- The ideal candidate with leadership qualities who can think on their feet – some experience of leading a team is essential.
- You\\\’ll be willing to learn and own your development with support from your GM. We\\\’re looking for someone who will push themselves to grow their skills knowledge.
- You\\\’ll be people focused – whether that\\\’s with regards to the team you work with, or with how you interact with our guests.
- You think big (and small) – You\\\’ll set standards within the team and the business, noticing small details that others miss, and you\\\’ll also be able to think about the pub from a GM perspective – suggesting improvements in the offer, sales driving and operationally.
- You\\\’re forward thinking. We\\\’re looking for people who could be running pubs for us as General Manager within the next 6-12 months. Most of our General Manager appointments are from internal candidates.
